A Day in the Life of an Adventurer

I really had no idea that Murray Park was the place to cruise on a Saturday night. It's a nice park, but really, just what's so special, so alluring, that you would drive loops around the park? Perhaps I should amend that statement in light of our high adventures in just such a spot. Thanks to our good friends Wes and Ash, Murray Park, yes little Murray Park did indeed become the place to cruise in order to watch the acrobatics of a little group of monkeys literally hanging from trees as they flew about 60 feet down a zip line, swung on rope swings and ran around jumping on each other.

And speaking of monkeys, Mitchell has truly found his inner monkey...his Spider Monkey, he tells me. I really don't know what clicked in his mind at the pool the other day, but all of a sudden, he is fearless! The zip line, which a month, no, a week ago would have been quite scary was nothing more than another day in the life of a true adventure boy. That's my boy Mitchell! Can we take your training wheels off now?

You need to give Mitchell some more credit, we are not all born adventurers!! Especially we are not all like the Anderson brothers! That's not a weakness, Mitchell is cautious and wise beyond his years to see danger and steer clear!...(can you tell that I'm very much an outsider to some of the Anderson views):)

Good for him! Rebecca has not hit that point yet -- still a too afraid. I can't wait for that to click with her, as well. Go Mitchell! Sounds fun -- can I come?

I hate to disappoint your views on this matter but his name is Mitchell ANDERSON Athay. So, you see he has certain things to live up to! And, by golly, he's gettin' there!

I should mention that my other two children, who are not named Anderson, but who do have those genes and pretty significant Anderson family names) were crying like little babies (oh I guess one of them is) when they were strung up in the tree. Ahh well, I'll succeed with them some day, too. Unless William's careful genes or protective fathering really kicks in!

Yes, Laurie, next time we're hanging from trees we'll give you a call!

Looks like you had so much fun. We've been in the middle of a zip line adventure ourselves at our cabin. Only it's not currently safe enough for children. Ben and my brother didn't think it was fast enough so they changed things and now it's so fast there's a tree in the way, opps.
