Triumphant Moments

As Jane is only about three weeks away from her piano recital I can't help but reminisce about a time when she actually started practicing the piano completely on her own initiative. There was no pleading, no screaming, no threatening, no bribing. No, instead, she simply sat down at the piano and began to play, not play as in tinkering with making up her own songs, she played the piano. It was a wonderful, sweet memory forever tucked away in my mind as one of those cherished, triumphant moments a mother occasionally experiences.

I'm waiting for it to happen this year.
