Did you know every year there is a potato conference? OK so really that's not so crazy since I do live in Idaho, but this was big news tonight. And the real news was that a Prefessor of Nematology (huh?) is very concerned about nematodes in potatoes. You think I'm making up one of my rhymes right? No. Anyway, the good news is that they have a way to combat these nematodes. Thank heavens, I was worried about that one.
The other big news? Red Robin opened. This was acutally the leading story on the news two nights ago. And you might think that we would spend some time talking about our new President, but Obaba made it on the list only after the bit after the guy who sells Dish Network services. I feel so in tune with my community! CNN, you've got nothing on Channel 8 in Idaho Falls!

oh my goodness, i never thought i'd think about channel 8 new ever again. the best part is the anchors have been there like a million years but the field reporters are all 13-years-old. it's hilarious.
I'm totally speechless. My mind is a rush of memories...bad hair, bad accents, high school sports top stories. Oh, Idaho!
:) A bunch of the field reporters are actually BYU-I students, I knew several in my time there :)
Idaho seems to have a lot in common with Logan. I love Logan so Idaho must be pretty great! Do you guys have any updates about the house situation?
FYI...had a potato side dish that very nearly outshone my $40 fillet Mignon. No kidding. These minuscule little golden potatoes had been soaked in butter, coated with seasoning and then cooked so that the skin was crispy like french fries and the inside was soft like mashed potatoes...and served with that dressing you like to put in potato salad. I bet you could get a hold of those spuds. Makes me hungry now.
Carrie, I, too, have been really bad at keeping up on the blogging. I get very depressed when it is cold, dreary, and gray outside--my last blog. Nematodes--are those little black things you find inside your potatoe when you cut it up but don't know it is there? Red Robin, huh? I hope you survive this!
